The newest battle royale game Apex Legends was introduced by Respawn less than a month ago and already became one of the world’s most popular games. Since the first day of official launch, the game was a huge success, so no wonder it passed the point of 25 million users in quite short time.
Now, all game’s fans are looking forward to the official start of the Apex Legends Season 1. When should we expect it and what exciting new touches will it bring? In our article, we are going to answer these questions!
Probably all fans of this battle royale have already seen an official roadmap released by the game’s developers. It tells us about the innovations that will be introduced along with Season 1 and suggests that the season will start somewhere in March of this year. Meanwhile, the DailyEsports’ report expressed a guess that we can expect a new season to launch on March 12. However, the company didn’t make an official statement yet.
While players are so excited about the new season that they believe is just around the corner, Respawn’s CEO Vince Zampella only mentioned how hard the team is working and highlighted that the game launched only four weeks ago. Thus, it is still uncertain when we can expect any updates.
However, we can already have an idea of what Season 1 may bring, so let’s take a look at the most expected innovations.
If you have played Fortnite, you should know what opportunities are given with this pass. In brief, purchasing a Battle Pass, a player will have a possibility to access various cosmetic items introduced in the season as he ranks up through the tiers. Respawn has already confirmed the release of their Battle Pass along with the new season, but, unfortunately, we don’t know how much it will cost yet.
We bet that many fans of Apex Legends were excited to hear an official update from the Respawn that confirmed the introduction of new characters in Season 1. Unfortunately, at this point, we are left guessing how many new Legends we will see and what new abilities they will bring in. Chances are we will have to be patient and wait for the season to launch in order to get more information.
Still, there is a leak on one of the new characters. According to the leak, the new Legend is labeled as an “adrenaline junkie,” his name is Octane, and there is a bit information on his skills.
A few other Legends have also been leaked. However, there is not much information about them.
Probably many of you have heard the leaks about two new weapons that were supposed to launch along with the new season. These were an LMG called L-STAR and an assault rifle Havoc.
Both leaks were confirmed. In fact, one of these weapons was already introduced to the players on February 20. Havoc rifle is finally in the game, so each of you can give it a try, but as for the L-STAR LMG, we will still have to wait for the new season’s launch to see it.
As for other types of loot, currently, we don’t have any reasons to assume that the developers have added anything else apart from the two new guns. But again, since there is no official announcement yet, this statement can’t be confirmed.
Thanks to the roadmap introduced by the company, we already know that Season 2 is planned to launch in June. This allows us to assume that the first season will last for about three months – from March until the end of May or the beginning of July.
